← Spark plug references

Match the plug to the engine.

Start with the original reference and confirm the complete specification before choosing a replacement.

What to send for a quotation

Vehicle make, model, year, engine code, original plug number, quantity and destination. Include a clear photo of the markings if the reference is uncertain.

Dimensions and seat

Check thread diameter, thread reach, seat type and hex size. A plug that screws into the cylinder head is not necessarily the correct part. Use the specified reach for the engine.

Heat range and gap

Heat range describes how the firing end transfers heat; it is not a measure of spark strength. Use the application specification and check the required gap before installation. Do not select a different heat range solely because a model number looks similar.

Installation

Follow the vehicle and plug manufacturer's procedure. Check that the plug hole is clean, confirm thread reach and use the specified tightening torque. There is no single torque or gap setting for every spark plug in this catalog.
