Fast answer

Approve four things together: the exact model, the actual installation fit, the applicable rating or document scope, and the final purchasing specification. Keep the approved sample and a written record under the same reference.

Before the sample arrives

Define the job the sample must perform. Without an application and acceptance criteria, a sample review easily becomes “looks fine,” which does not protect the next order.

  1. Record the supplier and ordering code.Keep supplier-specific items separate even when the shared model route looks the same.
  2. Record the application.LED strip, field wiring, PCB, cable junction, cabinet or protected environment.
  3. List the critical fit fields.Width, pin count, pitch, positions, conductor range, cable diameter or wire length.
  4. Define the electrical requirement.Voltage, expected current and any temperature or market constraint.
  5. State the document requirement.Exact certificate, drawing, rating sheet or other market evidence needed.

IdentityDoes the sample match the ordered code and configuration?Photo, label and quotation reference
DimensionsDoes it fit the available space and mating material?Critical dimensions or drawing
ConnectionDoes the strip, conductor or cable enter correctly?Material used in the test

Electrical and document review

Use the model data and the buyer’s application requirement together. CE, TUV and UL documentation is available for selected WIRIX models, but its scope must be checked against the exact item. If a formal laboratory test is required, agree who performs it and which standard or acceptance criterion applies. Do not convert a simple continuity check into an unsupported performance claim.

  • Model-specific voltage and current values are recorded.
  • Conductor or LED strip used in the review is identified.
  • Any required certificate covers the exact model or documented family.
  • The destination market and customer requirement are stated.
  • Open questions are marked unresolved rather than assumed acceptable.

Build the purchase record

The approved sample should point to a written specification. This is what allows the first order, repeat order and supplier comparison to use the same definition.

Check the packing sample too

For medium- and high-volume purchasing, the product sample and packing plan should not be separated. Confirm unit packaging, quantity per bag or box, quantity per carton, carton dimensions, net weight, gross weight and label information when those values are available.

Red flags that require a new confirmation

Model substitution

The supplied code or configuration differs from the approved sample.

Unrecorded wire change

Length, conductor size, color or termination has changed.

Certificate mismatch

The document does not clearly cover the quoted item.

Packing estimate presented as final

Carton or weight data is not tied to the quoted packing quantity.

Simple approval statement

Example: “Approved for quotation and pilot order against supplier item [code], VEXIRA model [model], drawing/sample reference [reference], conductor or strip [specification], packing [reference], with the following open conditions: [conditions].”
Why buyers use VEXIRA
  • VEXIRA works as a connector supply-chain partner, helping buyers control selection, samples, documents, packing and logistics.
  • Sample approval is tied to the exact model, configuration and packing reference.
  • Technical, document and carton details are discussed before volume orders.
  • Selected in-stock connector models can be prepared for shipment in as fast as 5 working days after final confirmation, with export and DDP route discussions for selected markets.

Want to approve the sample before scaling?

Send the connector model, sample photos, application, quantity plan and target market. VEXIRA can help turn the sample into a repeatable purchasing reference.

Request sample review

Confirm a sample against the model

Send the model, application and the fields that must be approved before quantity is released.
